Former Resident Dies
Gladys Paul of Rosemount died at her home June 4. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Snustad Chapel, Blackduck with the Rev. John Kerth officiating. Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery, Blackduck.
Mrs. Paul was born September 23, 1896 at Lamberton, Minn. and came to Blackduck at age 16. She married Andrew J. Paul, former depot agent, in May 1912. They lived in this community until 1944 when they moved to St. Paul. She worked there as a supervisor with Brown & Bigelow, retiring in 1966, her husband died in October 1947.
Survivors include a step daughter, Dorothy Swedberg of Osseo; five daughters, Adella Schoenherr, Paynesville, Elaine Steuernagel, Winona, Margaret Ann Anderson, Eagan, Marjorie Mae (Mrs. Ralph Matheny), Blackduck and Emily Lindblad, Willmar; 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. A son, Duane and infant daughter also preceded her in death.
