WILLMAR -- Emily Joyce Lindblad, 69, of rural Willmar died Friday at Fairview-University Medical Center in Minneapolis.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Svea Lutheran Church in Svea. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born June 29, 1936, in Blackduck to Andrew and Gladys (Morehouse) Paul. She attended Blackduck Elementary School. When she was 10 years old, the family moved to St. Paul, where she graduated from Wilson High School in 1955.
On Aug. 13, 1955, she married Ronald Lindblad in St. Paul. They lived in Fahlun Township, Kandiyohi County. She worked at Thrifty White Drug for 10 years, retiring in 1996.
She was a member of Svea Lutheran Church, where she had been a member of the Ladies Aid and taught Bible study and Sunday School. She also was a young adult leader and helped establish the church library. She was also an adult leader for the Fahlun Go-Getters 4-H Club and a member of home extension and the Linger Awhile Birthday Club.
She is survived by her husband; children: Mike (and Kathy) Lindblad of Willmar, Mindy (and Tim) Swierenga of Svea, Jason (and Jenny) Lindblad of Kandiyohi, Angela (and Gary) Lindblad of Willmar and Andrea (and Jerome) Jacobson of Svea; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters: Elaine Steuernagel of Amery, Wis., and Margaret (and Mel) Anderson of Inver Grove Heights.
She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
